LISTENING PARTY: "THIS IS HAPPENING"

Didn't nab 3-day passes to Pitchfork Festival? Weren't quick enough for the blink-and-you'll-miss-it LCD Soundsystem on sale? Guess you're out of luck for seeing LCD Soundsystem live... Or are you? This Sunday, May 16 Smart Bar will host it's weekly series, Dollar Disco, featuring the LCD Soundsystem This is Happening listening party. During each hour between 9pm-2am, we’ll be giving away LCD Soundsystem tickets and merch, 3-day Pitchfork passes, and tickets to upcoming Metro and Smartbar shows like Kele, Zombie Disco Squad, Hercules & Love Affair (DJ set), Cocorosie, Psychedelic Furs, Soulclap and tons more. We'll also have Laurie's Planet of Sound in the house to sell This Is Happening CDs before they're even on sale!

The This is Happening listening party starts at 9pm this Sunday in Smart Bar (ages 21+) and runs right into Dollar Disco from 10pm til late. Showing up early and staying late only increases your chances of winning and with a price tag of just $2 to get in (or FREE with an industry check stub) and $2 PBRs, I'd say it's well worth the cost of being a little tired at work the next day.
