THE ADVENTURES OF PURPLE APPLE

Imagine this, if you will: Three musically-inclined middle school girls form a band. Their 24 year old babysitter (on drums) joins the band. School by day, adventures in babysitting, songwriting, and rehearsing by night, these ladies are on the fast track to take over the country one venue at a time.
Sounds like the Disney Channel's newest hit show, right? Uhhh, maybe someday, but I assure you the Chicago-based indie pop band, Purple Apple, and its 12 year old members Olivia, Madi, and Noni (and babysitter) are real and have a freshly-recorded arsenal of surprisingly mature songs to prove it. After taking 1st place at the North Shore Battle Of The Bands and playing several venues around the city, the girls bring their show to Metro this Friday, May 7th at 6:30 with openers The Break & The Blisters. Tickets are available now!
