RJD2 GOES MAD
The 1960s brought us many a wonderful thing - hippies, tie-dye, and Mad Men to name a few. Ok, so maybe the 60s didn't give us Mad Men, but without the actual ad men of the time, Don Draper with his too-smooth demeanor and glass of Rye just wouldn't be the same. As if the show itself isn't great enough (believe me, I could go on), can we talk about one of the coolest theme songs on TV? Out of curiosity, I Wikipedia'd the theme for the show and was surprised to see that it was from one of my favorite inner-galactic musicians, RJD2.
The man is all over things that are awesome. Mad Men, having a name that reminds me of Star Wars...what's next? You can listen to the Mad Men theme song, "A Beautiful Mine" above, or pick up a copy of RJD2's album, Magnificent City Instrumentals, for a listen. Make sure to also grab your tickets for RJ's Metro performance on March 13th. The show is 18+ and starts at 9pm.
