CHIRP LIVE ONLINE

Charting its beginnings in 2007 as a volunteer-run community radio station, the Chicago Independent Radio Project (CHIRP) now sets out to make a place for itself in the world of online radio. On January 17th at noon, CHIRP will make the jump to broadcasting live online at CHIRPradio.org, 21 hours a day from its North Center neighborhood studios. While the transition to internet broadcasting brings CHIRP to the doorstep of a worldwide audience, the organizations focus remains the same - bringing independent music and arts-driven radio to Chicago.
