NEW YEAR, NEW RELEASE

For the past 7 years, Chicago-area band The Felix Culpa (loosely translated, "the fortunate fall") have been cranking out critically-acclaimed progressive indie rock. With Alternative Press touting them as one of the "100 Bands You Should Know," you might think all of the success would go to their heads. Instead, in 2009 the band pulled a Radiohead and released their SoSoRemission EP with the option to either buy it or download it for free.

Now, as we prepare to usher in a new decade, The Felix Culpa have opted to mark the occasion with a new full-length album. On Saturday, January 23, the band will release Sever Your Roots. Get a taste of the album before it drops with this video teaser. And what better place to throw a CD release party than Metro? The Felix Culpa will celebrate the release of Sever Your Roots with a show at Metro that night. Joining them will be Loyal Divide, Robbers, and Suns. Get your tickets for this all ages event now or at the door for $11. Doors are at 6 pm and the show begins at 6:30.
