I FIGHT DRAGONS 2009 WRAP-UP

Haven't heard of Chicago's NES-rock superheroes I Fight Dragons? We'll cut you a break... after all, they've only been on the scene for about a year. But in the ten months since the release of their debut EP "Cool is Just a Number," I Fight Dragons have become one of Chicago's most promising new bands. After a whirlwind year which included selling out their EP release show at Elbo Room, being named Metromix's Best New Chicago Band of 2009, and playing the Chicago Warped Tour, the nerd-core rockers aren't planning to slow down any time soon.

Don't miss your last chance of 2009 to catch I Fight Dragons live. The group will play a special hometown show at Metro this Saturday, December 12 before retreating to the studio to work on a full-length album. The band, known sonically for their use of NES controllers and visually for their Justice League tee-shirts, will retire said wardrobe along with some of the songs from their EP at the show. But fear not, IFD fans. The group promises to return in 2010 with new tunes, a new wardrobe, and all-new superpowers!

Tickets are on sale now for $11. The show is 18 & over and begins at 9 pm on Saturday, December 12. Pretty Good Dance Moves and Cobalt & The Hired Guns will also perform.
