FROM THE STREETS: THE JESUS LIZARD
Street teams. You see them everywhere. They're the hardworking folks waiting outside after shows hoping you'll take a flyer. Metro's street team checks out almost all of our shows and being the huge music fans that they are, want to tell you about it. Here's street teamer Matthew M.'s recap of our show last Saturday with The Jesus Lizard:
"After three encores and a bruised pair of ribs, David Yow of The Jesus Lizard showed no signs of slowing down for the second of back to back Thanksgiving weekend shows at Metro. Yow and his band mates playing their two of their handful of shows together since 1999, rolled through a catalog of songs that kept concert goers buzzing from beginning to end. No new music was unveiled, but that doesn’t mean Yow and The Jesus Lizard won’t have a few tricks up their sleeve for their New Years Eve show at Metro. If you weren’t able to catch either of last weekend’s shows RUN, don’t walk to pick up your tickets for New Years. I’m sure it will be a tough ticket to come by as new and old fans of the band will be marking their calendars for another special night with Yow, Denison, Wm. Sims, and McNeily."
