CONGRATS ON 10 YEARS LAWRENCE ARMS!

The coastal cities (LA and NYC I'm talking about you) think that they have a one-up when it comes to music. Well you know what LA & NYC, if I want lung shriveling smog and radioactively large rats I'll give you a call. Personally, I will take the Chicago music scene any day. The Windy City is home to some of the most legendary bands in music history. No other city can claim performers like Alkaline Trio, Smashing Pumpkins, Miles Davis, Styx (I love Styx, and not in the ironic way), and The Lawrence Arms. In fact, music wouldn't be what it is without these guys.

Punk certainly wouldn't be what it is today if it wasn't for The Lawrence Arms. For 10 years, these guys have rocked faces clean off (if you've seen them live, you know perfectly well the rocking I'm talking about) while carrying on the punk rock tradition started by legendary vanguards Ramones, The Clash, and Sex Pistols. Now the guys are celebrating their 10th anniversary at our favorite venue (Metro guys...it's Metro) and we're so stoked to celebrate with The Lawrence Arms at their sold out show this Saturday. From everyone at the Metro, we wanted to say thanks for a decade of great music. Congratulations guys, here's to 10 more years.
