DUDE ABIDES LAUNCH PARTY

Have you ever watched The Big Lebowski and wondered if there was any deeper meaning to The Dude and his rug (you know, the one that really tied the room together)? If you've ever asked yourself the deeper, empirical meaning behind a Coen brothers' films, you should look into The Dude Abides: The Gospel According to the Coen Brothers by Cathleen Falsani. Falsani, award-winning religious columnist for the Chicago Sun-Times, delves into the serious existential questions raised by the always irreverent Coen brothers in her new book. She looks at all 14 movies by the Brothers Coen and examines the deeper, sometimes obvious meaning, behind some of our favorite characters.

On Monday, September 14th from 5pm to 9pm in Smart Bar, you'll have the chance to attend the free RSVP-only launch event for Falsani's book.
