GAPERS BLOCK PARTIES AT METRO

If you've ever sat in traffic (or looked over mockingly at it from the train) that moved so slow you could have walked home quicker, you understand the term gapers block. If you're new to the city and find yourself shoved out of the way as you gawk at the skyline, you're a gaper. We mean no harm, it's just that we're pretty much the most impatient bunch around. That's why we love the Chicago web publication, Gapers Block. It forces us to slow down and check out all of the awesome things that Chicago has to offer.

And now, one of our favorite web magazines is breaking out the favors for The 6th Annual Gapers Block Party. For the sixth year in a row Gapers Block has been putting on one of the best parties in Chicago. This year, the lineup is stellar: Nikki Lynette, The Hood Internet, Blane Fonda, and Panda Riot. What's even better is that it's all free before 9:30pm and only $6 after. The show is 18 & over and starts at 9pm.
