HERE COME THE JAMS

This may be the age of the iPod, but now that summer is coming around it's time to grab a 20 pack of D batteries and bust out your boom box. For music fans, summer is the time of the year to get outside and dance. Two new albums perfect for the Chicago heat are The Juan MacLean's The Future Will Come and The Field's Yesterday and Today. They've both been hailed by critics as two of the best dance records of 2009, and will definitely get the party going on the beach, in the street, or any dance zone of your choice. If you can't decide between MacLean's disco-funk grooves and The Field's ambient and trance electronic sounds, don't! They'll both be at Double Door on June 16th to cooperatively give us a lift to planet dance party. Nothing beats a summer dance concert.
