LISTEN UP: DAN DEACON

If you haven't been cruising the internet this month looking for the hottest new jams, you may not have caught the buzz surrounding Dan Deacon's new album Bromst (which dropped today, by the way). Reviews have been streaming in from just about everywhere and if you don't believe Pitchfork's 8.5/10 review (near gold on their scale) or me saying "Hey, Bromst is pretty darn good," you can listen to the entire an album for yourself on NPR's Exclusive First Listen Series. Maybe even pick up the record and come see him at Metro (along with his 15-member ensemble) on May 7th if you're so inclined.
