STORY SLAM THROWS DOWN AT METRO

You've probably seen rap battles and poetry slams, but now's your chance to see the mother of all Chicago story slams. We're talking about the Windy City Story Slam All-City Championships and it happens this Saturday at Metro...oh, and it's Free. This time around, story slam champs face off in what Chicago Public Radio aptly calls a "verbal throwdown." Yesterday the CPR blog featured videos of mini slams from Bill "The Butcher" Hillman and Don De Grazia. Check 'em out below. While it's too late for you to vote on the winner of this mini slam, you can still get in on voting for the big winner by heading to the Championships at Metro this Saturday at 8pm.
