MURDER BY DEATH, MAKING NEW OF OLD

Murder By Death, a band known for giving modern sounds a vintage twist, is again bringing the past to the present. MBD's original piano player, Vincent Edwards, will be joining the band for their November 20th show at Metro. Pre-2004 fans know that means we'll get a whole mess of old songs in addition to the new. MBD is also embarking on what they call the 7 series, a series of 7" splits where the band trades covering songs with another band they know. The first 7" will feature MBD performing William Elliott Whitmore's "One Man's Shame" and WEW covering Murder By Death's "Dynamite Mine." It's pretty safe to assume we'll hear live renditions of the covers when both bands hit Metro next Thursday at 9PM.
