NEW RELEASE: THE PLACES WE LIVED
Bloomington Illinois band, Backyard Tire Fire, just released brand new studio album, The Places We Lived, and will be touring for the rest of 2008. After the bands 2007 release Vagabonds and Hooligans made about a million nods from taste-maker blogs and year-end favorites lists, we're pretty curious to see what's next from these guys. Critics everywhere are comparing the band to the greats, PopMatters.com called frontman Ed Anderson "the premiere Pop Balladeer of America’s Heartland" and Johnny Hickman (of Cracker) recently called the band one of his favorites. With so much buzz exploding over the past year, we can only expect more good things from Backyard Tire Fire. You can catch the kick off to "The Places We Lived Tour" right here at Metro on September 5th with Ha Ha Tonka and Joe Pug.
P.S. The Backyard Tire Fire website says they're giving away a free limited edition poster to all advance ticket buyers!
