METRO RECOMMENDS: FRENCH KICKS

Being the cool kids you are, we thought you'd like to check out Brooklyn's, French Kicks. This post-punk quartet is a breath of fresh air in the indie rock scene with their latest release Swimming, a sparklingly bright art-pop effort. Featured as one of Spin Magazine's Artists of the Day, the magazine said "the new set never loses sight of the band's original sound, flaunting punk drum beats and manic guitar work." Good thing they're making a stop in Chicago on their fall tour, Friday September 19th at Double Door so you can hear for yourself!
