Metro and Smart Bar have decided that you need a little break this fiscal year. The economy is plummeting and maybe you've noticed your checking account turning a 180. We want to take care of you! Metro and Smart Bar are hosting our first show in the ROCK AGAINST RECESSION series! Frugal or not, on Wednesday, March 5 the whole building will be catering to your financial needs, featuring the best up-and-coming Chicago bands and DJs, drink specials and even FREE pizza at midnight!

Admission is only $5, but if you come before 9PM, you'll get in for FREE! Upstairs in Metro, the show is 18+up and Smart Bar is always 21+up. You can't blame that one on old Uncle Sam, kiddies.

Headliners, Airiel, recently got a shout from the Sun-Times as one of ten new Chicago acts that should be heard in 2008. We couldn't agree more, but don't forget to get to Metro early on March 5th to check out Slings and Arrows, Yourself and The Air, and Empires...and of course save yourself a few bucks.
