TIMES NEW VIKING

It's already been quite a week for Columbus, Ohio's lo-fi heroes Times New Viking. Their new album Rip It Off dropped on the streets and on the net yesterday via the legendary Matador Records label. Pitchfork reviewed the record yesterday as well and gave it a whopping 8.4, which places it under their Best New Music umbrella. Times New Viking is about to embark on a tour with Super Furry Animals, and their Chicago date will take place right here at the Metro on Saturday, February 16.

Speaking of Super Furry Animals, the band will be appearing on The Late Show With David Letterman on Thursday, January 24.
