Heads up, dance heads! One of the biggest dance events to hit the Metro this fall, along with Colette (Live) tomorrow night and Justice on October 17, goes down next Saturday, September 15. Philly's baile funk champ Diplo and the UK's fidget king Switch (aka Solid Groove) are teaming up for a mere seven dates in the States. With support from Chicago's own James Amato, head of up-and-coming record label Potty Mouth Music, this night is like peanut butter and jelly coming together on your most favorite bread in the world; yes, it's that good. Having just finished production on the new M.I.A. album, Diplo and Switch have risen to the top of many DJ and producer lists with a slew of remixes, mixtapes and club dates around the world. Both have performed to packed crowds in Smartbar so the move up to the Metro stage is highly anticipated. Diplo recently dropped a new mixtape via Pitchfork and we highly recommend checking it out to get a feel for what he's bringing to the table(s) these days. Tickets are on sale now and although we know you club kids like to buy tickets at the door, we do suggest buying tickets in advance to ensure you don't get stuck listening to the bass outside of the club.
