RHYME SPITTERS ALL-CITY FREESTYLE BATTLE

The top 32 freestyle emcees in Chicago will battle it out at Metro on Saturday, August 25 for a $3,000 cash prize and the crown of the Rhyme Spitters All-City Champion. Now in its fourth year, Rhyme Spitters is recognized as the premier annual freestyle battle in Chicago. The finalists are determined though grueling preliminary rounds, which will be held at Wicker Park on Saturday, August 18 - registration begins at noon and the battles start at 1:15. Chicago's hip-hop scene remains an underground phenomenon with each neighborhood supporting their own community grown artists.
