THE FUTUREHEADS CANCEL BUT COLD WAR KIDS CONTINUE ON

UK's The Futureheads have regrettably canceled their upcoming US dates, including Metro on October 21st, due to their drummer (his name is Barry) developing tendonitis in his left wrist. As much as we'd love to see Barry pull a Def Leppard and keep the show on the road (a la one-handed) we're happy to know that he's taking care of himself. Make-up dates have yet to be announced and tickets for the October 21st show are now refundable at point of purchase. The good news though is that opening band Cold War Kids is continuing on with most of the tour dates in support of their new album Robbers & Cowards, which is out next week on Downtown Records. However, some of the venues and specifics have changed for those dates, so pay attention. For Chicago, you can catch Cold War Kids with Foreign Born at The Hideout as part of Life During Wartime's monthly party. The show is now 21+ though (sorry, kids), but tickets are only $8, so it evens out if you think really, really hard about it.
