DFA RECORDS PUTS SMARTBAR TO DISCO USE

New York City dance maestro/band leader/record label operator/just plain nice guy James Murphy landed at Smartbar this past Friday night with the DFA DJ Tour. With him were Beats In Space radio host Tim Sweeney and Sh*t Robot band member Marcus Lambkin. Friday night? Check. Proper venue? Check. Dance hungry crowd? Check. The DJ tour celebrated and promoted the latest DFA compilation of remixes, Chapter Two. While playing said release alone could have satisified the crowd all night long, all three DJs dug deep, thought hard and played plenty of other tracks that we'll never find because we don't live in New York City and we're not DFA.
