YESTERDAY IS TODAY FOR THE CHANGES

Chicago's The Changes finally made it to the day when their debut album Today Is Tonight saw the light of...day. OK, too many "day" jokes going on here, but the loveable foursome has been waiting and wanting to release said record for what seems like years, and yesterday it happened. The Changes have done everything from selling out a month-long residency at Schubas, to playing the 2005 Lollapalooza festival, to opening for the likes of The Walkmen, Stephen Malkmus and Ted Leo, to receiving praise from local and national press alike. Besides a CD release celebration show on Friday, October 20 at Double Door, the band will be out on the road this fall and winter, spreading their brand of intelligent pop. Spin.com selected them yesterday as their "band of the day," so go vote for your Chicago brethren and represent.
