SMOKING POPES OFFER GLIMPSE OF NEW SONGS TO COME

After nine years of relying on the good old back catalog and familiar fan favorites, the Smoking Popes have made two brand new songs available on iTunes. "If You Don't Care" and "Welcome To Janesville" were recorded live at Lollapalooza 2006 in Chicago and the band's entire set from that festival can now be purchased. The Popes just finished up a lengthy tour with Criteria and anyone that caught any of those shows should recognize these new songs. The band now has plans to write and record a new album this winter with an early 2007 release date in mind.
