CATFISH HAVEN and WAX ON RADIO RELEASE DEBUT FULL LENGTHS
It's Tuesday and that means brand new CD releases are hitting the shelves. In fact, Phil Lesh is releasing (count'em) ELEVEN live 3xCD sets and yes, Lionel Richie's new one is out today as well, but more importantly Chicago's Catfish Haven and Wax On Radio have both chosen this day to bestow their debut full lengths onto the world. Secretly Canadian Records follows up Catfish Haven's critically acclaimed EP Please Come Back with the band's 10-song soul confessing Tell Me and Downtown Records, home to Art Brut and Gnarls Barkley, re-releases Wax On Radio's Exposition, which now includes three new songs and brand new artwork.

And wouldn't you know it both bands have CD release shows this weekend...

Catfish Haven will be performing a 93XRT sponsored show at Double Door on Saturday night with a 9-piece backing band, along with blogger faves Someone Still Loves You Boris Yeltsin and Birdmonster. All three bands have been on the road together this month and Saturday's show marks the end of their run.

Wax On Radio headlines a solid five band bill on Sunday night at Metro that includes Felix Culpa, The North Atlantic, Villains Of Verona and Death Ships.
